School Programs & Summer Camps

One of my favorite things to do is share my harps in schools. I have done this on many occasions and every time its always a big success. I can bring 15 harps for a hands-on musical experience.

Depending on the ages and abilities of the students I create he right program for each class.  The youngest of kids have a shorter program that involves singing songs they know, and asking questions. I tell fun stories about the instruments and as the children exit the room, they each get to strum one of the larger harps on the way out.

The video below shows an elementary school program where we stayed set up in one room and each different class comes in one after another.

For smaller groups I can bring out all 15 harps and the children can play. We have them pluck the red and blue colored strings and  play familiar melodies by ear. There can be two to a harp therefore accommodating a class of 30.

The harps often go on tour and can travel anywhere on the West Coast. For more information about bringing harps into your school, please contact Lisa@LisaLynne.com or call (415) 642-1466

I love teaching at music camps. I am a regular staff member at two Northern California Camps, Lark in the Morning and Cazadero Family Camp. I  bring up to 15 Irish/Celtic harps and teach folks of all ages and levels to play. Even participants with no musical experience can learn  familiar melodies and experiment with improvisation as well. A great time is had by all!

These two videos demonstrate what those camps are like.
